Don’t go on holiday without these items
Why is it that we always seem to forget things when we are packing for our holiday? It is almost guaranteed that during your holiday you will realize you really need something which you thought about packing, but left out. The problem is the airlines charge so much for overweight baggage that we have to try and desperately trim the weight down any way we can, and that means important things can get left behind.
Yet one of the most vital things you can pack, foreign currency, doesn’t weight much at all. You can wait until you get there to change money, but then you are going to have to take whatever rate they offer you at the airport or hotel, unless you are willing to travel around and try to find a better offer. So if you want the best rate then check online and use somewhere in your own country before you leave. Another thing you should get before you travel is your sun cream, you can get it easy enough when you are away, but you may end up paying a load more money for that privilege.
Something you can easily pack in your hand luggage, but might be a lifesaver, is a photocopy of your passport and other travel documents. Just in case you get mugged then place these copies in the hotel safe so you can get them if you need them. Being in a foreign country without your passport is a nightmare, so safe yourself some hassle by photocopying it and writing the number for your embassy on there too so you can contact them if you need to.
You need to pack a good camera too, like a waterproof one. You want to be able to take some snaps, so check out Amazon.com and you can get a waterproof camera quite cheap now, you can even get a pink waterproof digital camera too if you want something a bit more funky. The advantage of getting a waterproof one is that you don’t need to worry about splashing it when you are near the pool, and you can take it snorkeling with you.
